What's love?

Took a look at friends' blog, quite a number of them either are facing relationship problems or are in a sweet relationship (^^..happy for ya). So the question is, what's love actually?

Love is not just between a girl and a boy. It has a wide scope of meaning. It can be family love, animal love, love for music, and the list goes on...depending on how you think. Love can cause heartache, misery and crushes your pride. A boy might ask for a break up when the girl still wholeheartedly 'loves' him (in the teenage world, I don't really agree that there's love in a relationship, there's only attraction-that's only my opinion anyway). After breaking up, the girl would felt as if she has lost the most precious thing in the world. She might begin to lost confidence in love and think that love cause nothing but pain.

Yet, somehow, teenagers or even adults tend to forget that love can give us strength. We forget that our parents and family are always there for us and they love us unconditionally. When we are in danger, the so-called boyfriend/girlfriend might not help us for they fear for their own safety. However, parents and family, disregarding their own safety, they will help us without asking for anything in return. This is called family love. They love us although they don't always say it whereas the boyfriend/girlfriend can easily say the three words without actually mean it. The power of family love can give us strength to overcome even the worst obstacles in our lives. There's this elderly who is in coma and the doctor said the chances of him waking up is very slim. He has only a grandchild left in this world. His only kin. The filial grandchild take care of him and talk to him every day, hoping that his grandpa will wake up someday. When everyone including the doctor loses hope, the child still stays by his side. One day, the elderly finally regains consciousness. All the medical staff say it is a miracle. Yet, it is the love of the elderly for his grandchild and the concern the child had shown that saves him. This cannot be explained using science. Such is the power of love.

Next will be love among friends. Friends doesn't always say I love you to each other. But true friends will feel it. Friends show their love to each other by helping each other, care for one another and lend their shoulders and ears when you are sad. I'm sure Cv will agree with me^^..haha

Something in the newspaper caught my attention today. It's about the love for animals. A girl from Australia was separated from her pet dog mongrel for nine years. The mongrel was given to her on her eighth birthday. Now she's already 17. She had long given up hope of seeing her mongrel, Muffy after it had vanished from her home. After nine years of separation, Muffy reappeared, filthy and flea-bitten. The moment she found out that Muffy was found, she was so excited and happy that she fly immediately to Melbourne to reunite with Muffy even though they are 2000 km apart! The girl still love Muffy so much even though so many years have passed. That is what I call true love that doesn't vanish even when they are far apart. This kind of love is long lasting compared to the so called love between teenagers nowadays.

So guys, remember that never easily say "I love you" unless that really comes from the bottom of your heart and it's everlasting. Don't give empty promises and false hope. And during bad times, always use the power of love from your family and friends. It really gives strength in our darkest moments.
p/s dun forget there's also a love for FOOD!!haha
